I found a recipe for Soft Batch Candy Corn Cookies that are to die for, okay not literally but they are delish! This got me thinking what other tasty treats can be made with candy corn? I love candy corn and and I also love Rice Krispies Treats! I mean its sugary, gooey goodness so whats not to love! Oh and chocolate, my weakness, almost forgot that, so I decided to mix the three! Okay y’all let’s talk pimento cheese! Now that I am back in the Good Ole South I am introducing foods to Coop that he can’t get enough of! Pimento cheese is one of those foods! A basic recipe only has a few ingredients which include sharp cheddar cheese, mayo and pimentos. The varieties are endless however which can add, hot sauce, jalapenos, onions, and on and on. Pimento cheese can be served as a spread or in a sandwich. I made Coop a pimento cheese quesadilla the other night that he gobbled right up. Mix it with mashed yolks for a twist on deviled eggs! Home Is Where The Heart Is
Well we did it! Moved cross country with a 19 month old baby and a 14 year old Labrador! Oh and we survived our first week back with work and the humidity! All in all the fact I can smile still and have hair is astonishing! Coop and Abby did really well on the trip. The first day was better than the second but due to rain we couldn’t get out of the car as much for breaks. I want to thank Sesame Street for keeping him entertained for 22 hours! Not Your Same Ole Oatmeal
I have been experimenting the past couple of days with ways to make oatmeal for Coop. He is very hands on with his food and a bowl of oatmeal just won’t do.
