Space-Saving Tips that will Help you to Organize your Kid’s Rooms

Do you want to make sure that your kid’s bedrooms are nice and organized? Maybe you just want to make the most out of the space you have but you just don’t know where to start.  Either way, this is the guide for you.

Get Creative

Vertical storage is very good if you have a small space. Make sure that you invest in some floating shelves so that you can put books or small toys on there without things looking cluttered and unorganized. If you can, you also need to invest in an over-the-door organizer. Sometimes you can get big sacks that are designed to store washing. There are even ones that come with basketball hoops so that your kids can enjoy shooting their washing into the basket. You keep their room clean, and they have fun while doing it!

Go Vertical

Getting bunk beds is such a good idea if you have kids. Using lofted beds will help you to create valuable floor space and you can also add extra storage while you are at it as well. Some bunk beds come with hidden storage space too, so if you want to take advantage of this, you can do so with ease. If you feel as though a bunk bed is not an option because you have a low roof or because you lack height in your room, then you can easily stick to a smaller bed, such as a twin bed. You can push this into the corner to free up more space to play too.

Under-Bed Storage

One of the least utilized areas when it comes to your children’s bedroom is the space that is under the bed. Believe it or not, this is the best space for you to hide things and it can also help your child to improve their organizational skills too. Make sure that you add some storage totes and that you also put in some bins for the room too. This will help you to keep your kid’s clothing and everything else out of the way while you free up closet space.

Toys out of Reach

Do you want to avoid broken toys while also making your kid’s room easier to keep clean? Then why not try and keep certain items out of reach? Try and display anything delicate or sentimental high-up and put them on shelves where they cannot fall down. If you have soft toys then why not install a mesh hammock, where they can be thrown into the storage compartment?  This is the best way for you to ensure that you don’t end up with toys everywhere.

Color-Code Everything

Another thing that you can do is try to color-code everything. When you do, you will soon find that it becomes easier for your child to keep track of things and where they should go. You can also teach them valuable habits for the future as well, so keep that in mind if you want to give them the best chance at keeping their room tidy.
