    Yia Yia’s Sweet Potato Casserole

    11/09 /No Comments

AKA Goodness! I was introduced to this sweet potato recipe by my husbands Yia Yia years ago and it is so darn good I can’t stand it! The sweet goodness and crispy topping make this a dish that is not for the faint at heart. Serve it on a dessert plate to truly highlight its deliciousness. It is not diet friendly either but hey, it’s only twice a year right? Hope y’all enjoy this as much as my family does.

I love candy corn and and I also love Rice Krispies Treats! I mean its sugary, gooey goodness so whats not to love! Oh and chocolate, my weakness, almost forgot that, so I decided to mix the three! Caviar of the South

    10/15 /1 Comment

Okay y’all let’s talk pimento cheese! Now that I am back in the Good Ole South I am introducing foods to Coop that he can’t get enough of! Pimento cheese is one of those foods! A basic recipe only has a few ingredients which include sharp cheddar cheese, mayo and pimentos. The varieties are endless however which can add, hot sauce, jalapenos, onions, and on and on. Pimento cheese can be served as a spread or in a sandwich. I made Coop a pimento cheese quesadilla the other night that he gobbled right up. Mix it with mashed yolks for a twist on deviled eggs! Again the possibilities are endless.…

15 Steps To Handling An Angry Little Person

    10/02 /No Comments

We are going through the temper tantrum stage currently and I have read several wonderful pieces on dealing with anger and outbursts in my toddler. I realize that he is tiny yet and he does not have the skills to manage his emotions. I found a fantastic article by Dr. Laura Markham ,creator of Aha! Parenting, that really put things into perspective. She breaks down the why and how not to react while giving great advice on how to handle…
