    Yogurt Silly Putty

    08/22 /No Comments

I found this on smartschoolhouse.com. They have a YouTube page as well if you prefer a video how to. Ingredients: Corn starch Yogurt (we used strawberry yogurt). Make sure itโ€™s a yogurt without chunks of fruit. Directions: Mix together 1 cup of yogurt and 3/4 cups of corn starch When the mixture is no longer sticky, pick it up and roll the putty into a ball (to further mix the yogurt and corn starch) If itโ€™s too sticky, sprinkle in additional corn starch. If itโ€™s too dry, add a bit more yogurt   Itโ€™s so soft and addicting to play with. Plus it smells pretty good too! A little soap…

    Returning to Work After Baby

    08/17 /5 Comments

Returning to work after having a baby is a difficult and emotional challenge that many moms must face. I had three months of paid maternity leave and though I had prepared for the day, so I thought, I never knew the emotional and physical challenge would be so difficult. I had been pumping and stock piling breast milk in preparation. About three weeks beforehand I started teaching little man how to take a bottle. I have heard horror stories about mamaโ€™s that didnโ€™t do this and their infant refusing to eat when in childcare so I cannot emphasize how important this is. He hated taking a bottle from me but…

God Why Does Everyone Else Get A Baby?

    08/08 /No Comments

Since writing about my Rainbow Baby I have had several women reach out and thank me for sharing my story. Some have lost as well and are having a tough time dealing and discovered the strength to share their story with me. Others have not conceived and have talked with me how heart wrenching it is and I cry with them because that is all we need sometimes. To all of the women in both scenarios I understand. I too asked God on several occasions Why Does Everyone Else Get A Baby? What is wrong with me? The doctors could never give us answers why we couldnโ€™t conceive and it…

    Baby Repeat?

    08/03 /No Comments

To the mamaโ€™s that donโ€™t know what to say when asked โ€œAre you ready for another oneโ€? after trying so hard for the one you have. Some people donโ€™t know your story. Some people know your story and seem to forget or they just donโ€™t realize how hard it was to get pregnant and once pregnant have a successful pregnancy. So when people ask me if I am ready to have another one I answer with โ€œI am going to enjoy the one I have been blessed with and if God sees fit for another then so be itโ€. What they donโ€™t see is the tears when you are alone.…

Wait, What? Boobies Aren’t For Feeding?

    07/31 /5 Comments

Imagine with me if you will a perfect weather day in the mountains. You are sitting at a lil picnic table with your hubby and almost six month old enjoying the day. Then you overhear “That s*it right there shouldn’t be allowed!” Now you might think I was smoking weed, drinking in public, vandalizing something well you get the picture but I wasn’t. I was feeding my son! You see he still breastfeed’s and while I bring a bottle on trips for the car for emergency purposes, I still breastfeed when not driving etc. I of course ignored the ignorant comment and continued on with feeding my baby. The real…
