Summer Series: Must Do’s In My State, California Pt 2!

    07/26 /No Comments

Sacramento, the capital of California, is not a common vacation spot. When people think of California, they imagine Los Angeles, San Francisco or Napa Valley. Growing up in the Sacramento suburbs I never thought of my hometown as a travel destination. Why would someone want to visit this area? However, as the saying goes, distance makes the heart grow founder. Now that I’ve moved out of the area I can see why Sacramento is a great place for a vacation. Here’s my top reasons to visit Sac Town. By Kristen Kehl of Hello Minder Food. Sacramento is known as America’s Farm to Fork Capitol. Hundreds of acres of farm land…

Home Is Where The Heart Is

    09/18 /No Comments

Well we did it! Moved cross country with a 19 month old baby and a 14 year old Labrador! Oh and we survived our first week back with work and the humidity! All in all the fact I can smile still and have hair is astonishing! Coop and Abby did really well on the trip. The first day was better than the second but due to rain we couldn’t get out of the car as much for breaks. I want to thank Sesame Street for keeping him entertained for 22 hours! I loaded a season of Sesame Street from Amazon Prime Video to his iPad and let me tell you…

This is hands down one of my favorite dishes! It is meat and potatoes so what’s not to love, right! Leftovers are minimal and this is super easy to make. I don’t have exact measurements for my seasonings as smell is how I gauge my dishes. You can also substitute minced garlic for garlic powder, or use both. Hope y’all enjoy! Super easy and tasty dish perfect for weeknight dinner. You can also make this a day ahead and reheat.

Come On Girls! Don’t Fail Me NOW!

I have been battling low supply for a couple of weeks now. I was pumping anywhere between eighteen to twenty ounces a day (while at work) to nine to ten if I am lucky. I am using up my stash I had in the freezer at alarming rates because I can’t keep up. Alarming you say? Yes! I did not know that I would be so panicked over this. My goal is a year and I am still holding on to that. I have now tried the brownies, cookies, brewers yeast, Fenugreek, flaxseed, oats, smoothies, power pumping and nothing is helping. Everyone keeps saying “Hey you did great I mean…

    07/25 /No Comments

One of the employees walked up to us and asked if we needed anything and bee-lined to Coop. She grabbed his hand and I immediately said “Please don’t touch him. He is little yet and has not been vaccinated”. She apologized and said she should not have just reached out and grabbed him. When she walked away my hubby looked at me with shock and said ” Wow that was the first time I have seen you go full on mom…
