Skillet Shepherds Pie
This is hands down one of my favorite dishes! It is meat and potatoes so what’s not to love, right! Leftovers are minimal and this is super easy to make. I don’t have exact measurements for my seasonings as smell is how I gauge my dishes. You can also substitute minced garlic for garlic powder, or use both. Hope y’all enjoy!
Skillet Shepherds Pie
Super easy and tasty dish perfect for weeknight dinner. You can also make this a day ahead and reheat.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef can also you ground sirloin
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- to taste Garlic Powder
- to taste Worcestershire Sauce
- Beef Broth
- 1 package Mixed Veggies
- Mashed Potatoes
Instructions
- Preheat Oven to 400°
- Cut potatoes and boil in salted water for mashed potatoes
- In cast iron skillet brown ground beef
- Season to taste with S&P, Garlic Powder & Worcestershire
- Add package of mixed veggies to skillet
- Cover with beef broth and simmer for about 8 minutes
- Season mix again
- While simmering make mashed potatoes
- Top beef & veggie mix with mash
- Top with cheddar cheese
- Bake for 15 minutes
- Carefully remove and enjoy
